Living Well's the Only Way

Zelda: 1900 - 1948

Year: 1926
Location
The French Rivera

Scott (30) and Zelda (26) are at an al-fresco party at La Colombe d'Or Restaurant, Saint Paul De Vence.

Anybody who is 'anybody' is there - Pablo Picasso, Cole Porter and Ernest Hemingway to name a few. Scott and Zelda sing:-

There isn't anybody here
Hasn't got a reputation
No one up above their station
We simply are complete elite

It doesn't matter should it rain
Money is a gold umbrella
Look at you, you lucky fella
What a splendid crowd

The ocean's warm and very blue
The wine is cold
Nobody here has any fear of growing old

It's such an elegant affair
Take a look at our surroundings
Creativity abounding
Famous faces everywhere

Just a few Americans
And only those who have a given talent
For displaying hidden wealth
And all around the writers
The musicians and the artists
Oh so avante garde
With no regard for health

Then living well's the only way
When nobody lives forever
Can we always be together
Bottoms up Hip hooray!

Instrumental

The ocean's warm and very blue
The wine is cold
Nobody here has any fear of growing old
Then living well's the only way
When nobody lives forever
Can we always be together
Bottoms up Hip hooray!

Bottoms up Hip hooray!

Living well's the only way
