I'm Dancing

Zelda: 1900 - 1948

Year: 1925
Location
The Louvre - Paris

Zelda visits The Louvre with Scott and Ernest Hemingway, both of whom are drunk.

Zelda enters a room on her own to 'escape' from them. The room is filled with marble statues.

Two male statues step down from their plinths and start to dance with Zelda. She sings:-

I'm dancing, I'm spinning, around foolishly
And I wonder where are the men who'll accompany me
In the days of old I don't imagine a fella not being there
No one at all to heed a maidens prayer.

I'm dancing not caring if someone should see
Such a silly girl flying so far from reality
If I wanna close my eyes for only a moment
His face I can see
Romancing while dancing with me.

(Instrumental)

Where are the men in my life
Where is the man that I love

I'm dancing I'm spinning around foolishly
And I wonder where are the men who'll accompany me
If I wanna close my eyes for only a moment
His face I can see
Romancing while dancing with me.
